The Opportunity
Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Washougal, Washington. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our service and warehouse operations, with a focus on standardizing and streamlining processes, and elevating our people and branch operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage key operations of the business including inventory management and distribution, service throughput, logistics, and quality control
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to higher levels of success, ensuring they are properly resourced to achieve operational targets
- Lead department managers in ensuring company processes and procedures are followed, reviewed, updated, and maintained
- Establish clear operational goals, monitor key performance indicators, and hold department managers accountable for achieving targets
- Ensure compliance with standards within the Service and Parts departments to ensure a consistent customer experience
- Oversee cross-departmental collaboration to optimize inventory flow, rebuild scheduling, and shipping/receiving activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by working with direct reports to identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost reductions, and quality improvements
- Facilitate communication between operational departments and senior leadership, providing regular reports on performance, challenges, and improvement plans
- Manage operational budgets and resources, identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies while maintaining service levels
- Foster a positive, accountable, and results-driven culture across all operations teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline
- Proven leadership ability with at least five years of warehouse and/or service management experience
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Superior organizational skills and planning skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Adept at multitasking and managing conflicting priorities
- Confident self-starter and team player with the ability to operate effectively independently

The base pay range for this role is: $90,000 to $110,000 per year depending on experience, plus bonuses.
This is an onsite role based in Washougal, Washington.
